Studio 21.1.1
INDEPENDENT EDUCATION

A practical place to learn Resolve.

Resolve Academy is an independent learning resource published by NahidRains. It teaches DaVinci Resolve Studio through original explanations, exercises, diagrams, and self-review.

Learn by doing

Work through 68 lessons across 17 modules, or find a specific answer in the separate library of 100 how-to guides. Keep Resolve open, try each workflow, complete the exercise, and compare your result with the stated outcome. Six portfolio projects bring the skills together.

Original course material

The lesson text, quizzes, assignments, diagrams, and technical practice kit were created for this course. The course does not reproduce Blackmagic Design’s training books. The interface images are genuine screenshots extracted from Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve 21.1 Reference Manual (September 2026), not invented software illustrations. Each enlarged lesson image has a manual-page credit. Screenshot copyright belongs to Blackmagic Design. Some examples retained in that manual show earlier interface layouts. These reference images depict the publisher’s demonstration projects, not private learner projects. The decorative mountain photograph is by Francesco Ungaro, used under the Unsplash License.

Version coverage and limitations

This edition covers desktop Resolve Studio 21, including 21.1 and 21.1.1 workflow notes checked on 9 October 2026. Features vary by operating system, hardware, and installed version. These lessons have not been individually validated in a live Resolve installation. The course is broad practical instruction, not an exhaustive control reference.

Some assignments require your own suitable footage, a Studio license, or specialist monitoring equipment. Completing the course records your self-assessment; it is not official certification or a guarantee of professional expertise. DaVinci Resolve is a trademark of Blackmagic Design, which does not sponsor or endorse this site.
